About the Event
Second Harvest Food Bank relied on more than 39,000 volunteers last year whose hours totalled 111,420. It's pretty incredible to see so many caring individuals pass through our warehouse throughout the year.

Volunteer Opportunity: Donation Sorting [Sorting incoming donations for quality of products]
Requirements:
*Minimum Age: 10+
*Close-toed shoes: Required for everyone
*Physical Requirements: Standing for long periods of time and lifting boxes/items
*Chaperones: 2 chaperones per 5 students
Helpful Info:
*Temperature: The warehouse temp is typically similar to the temperature outside due to the deliveries and pick-ups that occur. Ex. if it’s cooler outside, layers are recommended, warmer outside, shorts are acceptable.
*Bottled Water: Provided in the break room for all volunteers
*Onsite Eating Space: We do not have space onsite for groups to each lunch before, after, or in-between shifts due to COVID Restrictions.

Registration is two-parts:
Every volunteer must have their own Second Harvest account and be registered for the shift in order to attend.
ALL volunteers Must sign-up using the link below. The link will show the shifts LEAF, Inc. is currently signed up for making it a quick and easy sign-up process.
Once you create an account, you will need to click the sign-up button next to the shift they are looking to attend.

Lastly, we kindly remind you that a LEAF volunteer T-shirt is required for all LEAF volunteering events. To purchase a shirt, please visit https://www.leafmission.org/shop. We will wear the shirts as a group during this event and for all future volunteering events.
Deadline to register for the event is August 7th.
All T-shirts will be distributed at the event.
